ONE-ON-ONE Resume Review
Building a resume that highlights your strengths and strategically presents your experiences is critical to getting an employer’s attention. This is particularly true for return-to-work professionals having to explain a work gap.
Whether you’re preparing a resume for online submission or as a document to be presented in-person, there are specific approaches that can optimize the attention you receive. Your resume can open the door to opportunities, interviews, and job offers.Bring a prepared resume to have it evaluated by our Human Resources expert, Stephanie Benefiel, PHR, SHRM-CP, in a private supportive conversation. Stephanie will help provide tips and tricks for ensuring your job search is successful.
The exact date and time of your personal resume review session will be decided between you and Stephanie. Within two business days of registering you will be contacted by email or phone to set up the date and time of your 45-minute session.
We encourage our clients to take advantage of online meetings to reduce the cost of the resume review session while also building confidence with current online communication tools such as Skype and GoogleDocs.
You will get the most out of your review session by submitting your resume to Stephanie ahead of your appointment. We recommend either emailing a Microsoft Word resume document or sending a link for your resume in GoogleDocs. Instructions will be shared with you when you signup.
Online resume review sessions are held Monday thru Friday at either 11am or 12pm as well as Friday afternoons at 2, 3, or 4pm.
In-person sessions are held on Friday afternoons at Goodmans Interior Structures, 1400 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85014.signup for Resume review
ONE-ON-ONE Personal Assessment & Coaching
A behavioral assessment is an objective tool that builds positive self-awareness. Not only does the knowledge gained from an assessment help guide you during a job search and it can also inform your decision-making as to job “fit.”
If you attended the webinar on “The Value of Self-Assessment in the Return-to-Work Process” and/or you’re ready to learn more about your interests and strengths, we encourage you to sign up for our behavioral assessment and then benefit from the professional one-on-one analysis of those results delivered by an expert in individual and group assessments.
Signing up is easy! Once you register online you’re sent a link to take a short online assessment. Within a week of submitting your answers, a member of the Opting Back In team will schedule an assessment review (phone session) with our expert, Amanda Hayden. A great way to obtain fast, high-level information is to sign up for the 15-minute review. In your phone session you’ll receive the basics on your interests and strengths. But, for those wanting more insight – great when you’re actively job-seeking - the 50-minute session will make a difference. During that time you’ll be given expanded detail, have time for dialogue, and receive coaching on career directions that might be suitable for you. At OBI we believe in the power of assessments as a tool to helping move forward with confidence.
